Welcome back Friends! It’s going to be a busy spring ahead and I’m certain we are going to find a lot of new wedding trends that we love and adore; however, one that never goes out of style … Love & Happiness. How corny does that sound? Well, it’s true. Stefanie & Dave exude both of these qualities and it spreads to their love of their family, friends and even us … We like to think we fit into that “friend” category. I mean just check out the last picture of the blog.
Their engagement session (a must see) offered a little bit different scenery in the gorgeous Gulf Shores, AL. Stefanie & Dave quickly reminded us why a favorite and recommendation of ours helps so much on the wedding day. The amount that these two talked about their engagement session and the trust it built with us I really think made them fearless about anything on their wedding day because deep down they knew … Rain or Shine (LEMME TELL YOU ABOUT THE SUNSHINE) We got it. I know God put this day in my life to be with them because it is EXACTLY what we needed.
Stefanie & Dave had an amazing wedding day. On the drive there I (Sara) was just talking and saying … it doesn’t feel like Saturday and it CERTAINLY doesn’t feel like we are gonna shoot a wedding today. I mean don’t get me wrong I was excited haha but the awful truth … we hadn’t had a wedding with this kind of gorgeous weather in such a long time. The not too hot, not too cold, not too cloudy and not too anything kind. Just what I would like to label as perfection and it feeds my soul when I get to spend this kind of day doing what we love. What a huge dream!
We learned about these two way more then what we knew at the engagement session. It’s truly spectacular what you figure out when you are surrounded by 20 of their closest friends. Dave – really likes redheads (specifically of the male friend variety). I mean out of his 10 groomsmen 4 of them were sporting the red locks and that’s a rarity these days. Once again … picture at the end. So, we are thinking it might not be Sara’s spunky personality that won these two over. It’s definitely got to be the red hair.
Now Stefanie … I had no idea she had dance moves like the ones she was showing off on the dance floor. OR that there is so many mysterious stories of her college days. I mean ladies count me in next time you’re going out haha because I think it’s a good time I would love to be a part of. Her seemingly quiet personality fooled me … this girl is anything but and we loved getting to know that side of her. What an absolute dream of a bride for this day.
However, them two together is exploding fireworks. We told Dave that his “thing” in pictures is certainly the look he gives going in for a kiss. I mean you can see the love he has for her and my dream for them is this look never fades. Call me in 50 years … I would love to see that same look then! It’s wonderful carrying the excitement of a wedding day all the way to but then as a photographer it’s a little sad. The day has come and went and the pictures will stay on our harddrives for the rest of our lives. Every couple we encounter makes such a huge impact on us and just know you are some of our best little treasures in this digital age. Thank you for choosing us out of so many! It was amazing! Congrats on your marriage and we know you guys are going see some wonderful memories together. xoxo – Sara & Alex
PS. We NEVER post this many dancing pictures but I’m telling you … every single one is so amazing and is definitely worth the extra time to check them out. It will certainly make your week. Especially the last one. *GOLD*
