We had so much fun spending part of Saturday this past weekend with Megan, Joe & their sweet families. It was unlike most February weddings – because it was actually really nice outside. We continue to laugh at ourselves about this type of thinking, just assuming that a February day would be dreary and cold. It must have been the love in the air or the geese all around but this day was very similar to Fall wedding weather. You know what I’m talking about. A little chill when the wind blows but comfortable enough that when you walk from the inside heat to the outside breeze it’s a RELIEF.
We hadn’t met Megan or Joe before their big day. Our conversations were held a lot with the mother of the bride so we grew to love her very quickly; however, we didn’t even get the chance to meet her. Of course, this wasn’t the first time but it was still so special because it also wasn’t super “random” that Alex and I were there. Are you curious yet?? Well, Megan is our “across the street” neighbor’s niece. WE LOVE OUR NEIGHBORS! We live in a sweet little cul de sac and feel so close to everyone that surrounds us so it was especially sweet to meet more of their family!
Megan & Joe have a love that will stand the test of time! It showed so much that it was almost tangible. I can pick out pictures that we took and say “see … you see that look … that’s love I can feel it”. Cause we really could! We told them and bragged about them. They should always love each other like they love each other today because if they do they will always make it through the bumps and bruises. Someone I never met became a quick favorite because I got to be apart of something that means so much to me. It means the world that although us meeting them was far from our traditional way it taught me that love, clients, and our work can come about in so many ways. We are so thankful for people close to us that believe in what we do and the experience that we create with our new friends. It was a joy for us and I can’t wait to place some of these images in our portfolio for other brides to enjoy them as much as we did!
