A match made in Heaven. It didn’t take us long at all to love these two and the amazing relationship they have built together over the last 7 years. As if, high school sweethearts wasn’t already a huge connection point for us; on top of that they are just so down to Earth & kind. These are some qualities that we adore to see in our clients because they are so easily relatable as we see them in ourselves too.
The engagement session with Reilly & Austin in Downtown Birmingham seemed to start very similar to a few of our other sessions lately. 10% chance for rain – which we usually just blame on the humidity here; only to be racing the rain clouds at some point throughout the session. We showed up and it was bright blue skies with gorgeous white clouds and that definitely gave us a false sense of security when it came to the session weather. After about 30 minutes of gloomy skies we felt it start to rain so we decided it’s best to head to our next location only for it to pour down as we drove our way there. Thankfully, just as we had agreed on a back up location (with a whole lot more covering) the skies cleared and we were back in business.
This was truly LUCK. We were literally driving away when the rain let up & we decided to just see how long the rain would stay gone and we would shoot as long as we could. Spoiler Alert: It ended up not raining for the rest of our session time. What a dream! These two took the weather in stride with the smiles on their faces & that’s another big reason we love these two. It’s hard to remain that happy even though it rained when it really shouldn’t have. I guess God just wanted to rain us down with a little good luck. Thank you so much Reilly & Austin for letting us capture your engagement photos! We had the best time and really can’t wait to spend some more time together.
