Birmingham Fall Engagement Session

We had the best time with Stephanie and Josh at their engagement session! These two are smitten with each other and we loved getting to capture their sweetness!

Josh proposed to Stephanie last December and hearing about it put us in the Christmas spirit/made Alex wish he had thought of it!

It was during Stephanie’s finals week and Josh called and said “we need to send out Christmas cards.” Stephanie thought it was a little close to Christmas for that but her sweet Mom told her to humor him and just go to make him happy. (Mom really does always know best!) So the Saturday after her finals they were on their way to a Christmas Tree Farm to take a picture for their’ Christmas card’. Stephanie’s Mom said before they left to make sure they find a big tree, so that’s what they were going to do!

Originally Josh said that they would just have someone there at the farm take their picture. When they were on the way, he said “Oh, they actually have a photographer there you just have to pay a small fee.” Stephanie said she liked that idea better than a random person taking their ‘Christmas card’ picture. When they arrived they walked all over the farm and when Stephanie asked where they were going Josh said “we have to find the big tree for your Mom.” After another minute or two he said “I found one!” Stephanie looked up and a few rows over she noticed one of the trees had a bow on top. They walked towards it and the closer they got, she noticed there were a lot of pictures strung around it. They were pictures of them over the past two and a half years. There was an ornament on the tree that was engraved and asked “will you marry me?” Stephanie said she started crying and Josh got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife.

I meannnnn, how perfect is that you guys? This is by far one of the sweetest proposal stories we’ve ever heard!

We can’t wait to celebrate with these two and their families in August at Matthew’s Manor!
