The day LA met up with Laura and James’ for their downtown Birmingham engagement session, there had been so much rain the roads were flooded. Everything was wet and muddy, but you’d have never known it by the love and laughter shared between these two! Even after James accidentally sprayed Laura with champagne you still couldn’t wipe the smile (Makeup By Mel off her face. After the rain stopped, we got just a tiny bit of sunshine for a minute and then the most beautiful sunset overlooking the city.
You already know this session was full of love and laughter (and champagne) but what you didn’t know is that it featured two great pups and a family heirloom too! Scarlet and Moose were ready for their close ups and some sweet snuggles with their humans. Laura even brought a piece of her late mother’s wedding dress to incorporate for some ring shots! These special details made their engagement session truly their own, and it was such a joy and honor to capture it! We can’t wait to celebrate these two this September at Canterbury and The Florentine for more sweet love, laughter, and memories to be made as they start their lives together as husband and wife.
