Botanical Gardens Senior Session

It’s only been a couple months since Bella and I had fun together celebrating her sister’s big day.  Honestly? I had no clue she was still a sweet high schooler.  So, you can imagine my surprise when her mom contacted me at the end of Summer asking if we would do her senior portraits.  It’s not something we do nearly often enough but wow!  Bella is so grown haha! We laughed throughout the session as I attempted my very best to relate to the feeling of being so close to the end of high school.  It’s been nearly 10 years for us … wow showing my age there – but not quite 30 yet! Anyways, I remember that feeling and the closeness to freedom and starting an entirely new unchartered chapter of my life.  It was an adjustment and I still don’t think I’m quite an adult … yes, the race track for hot wheels was for Jax … totally … 100%.

I LOVED photographing yet another daughter in the family and even had a little reunion because everyone just came to cheer on their sweet girl.  Bella did amazing!  She said she couldn’t “fake” laugh and therefore – I had to be totally not funny haha and she also said she couldn’t conquer that model look.  Well, she managed to do everything perfectly and just showing off the gorgeousness she has to show the world.  This sweet girl will be stepping foot on the UAB campus in under a year to start her journey in Nursing.  I can relate to that.  When it gets tough … walk over to the nearest coffee shop – grab one.  Put headphones in your ears and just retreat from life if only for a moment.  Come out feeling refreshed and ready to battle the books again.  I can’t wait to see the mountains you will conquer!  I know you will continue to make us and everyone who watches so proud <3
