We loved getting to spend Saturday afternoon with these two. It’s pretty clear that Lindsey and Christopher were made for each other. Christopher knows how to keep Lindsey laughing so it made our job super easy!
Lindsey reminds me of myself (Katie) in several ways. But especially in the elaborate way Christopher had to propose to Lindsey to keep her from figuring out the surprise. Alex will be the first to tell you I am impossible to surprise because I am always one step ahead of everything and apparently Lindsey is the same way! To keep her from getting suspicious about the engagement party at her parent’s house they had to come up with a fake “wedding shower” for some friends of hers as a decoy to keep her from asking questions that day. They even had to make a fake invitation to hang on the fridge to make it extra legit. (Love that!) Not only did they have to make up the shower, they also told her they were planning to have “family pictures” made that day. (She said she assumed Christopher might propose then, good thing they had 2 decoys, they know her well!) On the way to have their “pictures” taken, her Mom suggested they stop at their church to pick up some dishes for the shower. When they arrived, Christopher was there in the court yard waiting for her and proposed. Then they all went back to celebrate at her parent’s house with all of their family and friends! I so appreciate the work and attention to detail that went into keeping this a surprise for Lindsey! You guys obviously have such a sweet team of friends and family that we can’t wait to meet soon!
We are looking forward to celebrating with these two in May at Lindsey’s home church, First Baptist Church in Wetumpka and the Eclectic Warehouse!
