When Emily asked me if I could come to Charlotte to shoot her and Stuart’s engagement session, of course I jumped at the chance. Sara and Alex had just shot a session there last summer, so we knew Freedom Park would be a great spot. It was even the place where Stuart proposed! While we were hanging out at the Little Sugar Creek Greenway, Emily let me know their pony…I mean dog…Winston would be joining us soon, accompanied by Stuart’s best man.
While getting to know my couples, I love to ask what they are most looking forward to when their big day rolls around. Stuart can’t wait for their St. Lucia honeymoon, while Emily is looking forward to having all their friends and family in one place. Since she’s from Birmingham and he’s from Charlotte and they started dating right before the pandemic, there are a lot of friends and family each has yet to meet. Oh what a joyful time that will be when their wedding rolls around!
Emily and Stuart, you guys are too much fun! Getting to know you two, more about your life together, and hearing about this sweet season was such a blast! Thanks for inviting me to your city to document this exciting time. November will be here before we know it and everyone will be in one place to celebrate you two. You deserve it and I can’t wait!
