Friends! We are so excited to share these two sweet souls with you today! Alex actually knows Brittney’s mom from back in the days of retail so when we were contacted by her we were just over the moon excited to be working with this sweet family. It’s really such a blessing when we are contacted by those close to us.
Austin and Brittney’s story is quite a tale. After meeting in high school and even going to their senior football banquet they didn’t “hit it off.” But years later they met through a mutual friend and decided to give it another shot. After their date at Fuego Cantina in downtown Birmingham, the spark was lit!!! Maybe it was the cheap tacos or even expensive margarita’s but that was the moment Brittney knew there was more to Austin than what she saw back in high school. Fast forward to Easter of this year when Austin invited Brittney to hunt easter eggs like he used to when he was a kid. Brittney at first thought it was a little weird but that pretending to be a kid for the day would be fun. All this time Austin had a plan in his back pocket. In my family, there’s a golden egg for one happy kid to find and get a $20 prize. In similar fashion, Austin had a “golden egg” for Brittney to find. But this egg would be more white gold with a diamond in the center =) With all of their family watching Austin led Brittney to the egg with the ring in it and popped the question! Pretty good idea right? And here we are. Shooting their engagement session.
We ventured out to The Preserve in Hoover for their beautiful engagement session and we were all laughs throughout the entire thing. Austin has such a natural ability with being next to Brittney in photos and you just know that he cares for her so much! It was definitely the first time we ventured into the woods at The Preserve and it was such a great memory to share with these two. Although this drought is leaving us all a bit dry we had fun anyways and it leaves us just counting down the days until we get to see these two say “I Do”
