WHAT A DAY! It sure does seem the past couple of weddings have included a wedding day weather miracle and Laine & Derrick’s wedding at RTJ – The Shoals was no different. What started with a drive for us included its fair share of water coming from the sky and throughout the day we had some sprinkles on and off; however, it was amazingly not anything like the morning of the wedding. Laine & Derrick didn’t let it affect their attitudes and they took the possibility in stride and never let it show that they were even worried. Minutes before the ceremony a tornado warning was released and delayed the start of the ceremony; however, the weather stayed beautiful. The sunset was one of the best around and we were thrilled with how lucky our umbrellas are. The umbrellas we carry from every wedding since our own and it seems as though they have brought us luck with avoiding days full of rain and in this case a gorgeous day from the time we stepped outside to the time the sun fell. It was a miracle.
Everyone continued to dance the night away with some thunder lighting up in the background and yes … one more tornado warning. It never made it’s way even close to our parade and therefore the night ended with sparklers & a happy bride & groom. Just as planned! We truly couldn’t be any happier with how this day turned out. We have been in love with Laine & Derrick since their engagement session in Florence, AL last fall and we are just so happy their wedding day was everything we could have imagined for them and then some. This vendor team was incredible and we are so thankful to have some new Northern Alabama friends!
