If you don’t know Katie and Alec, they are a husband and wife photography team here in Birmingham, Al. Not to be confused with our videographers Katie and ALEX! They are finishing up one of their best years in their company. So in honor of that success they are doing some rebranding – check out their new site – with that rebrand they are updating their head shots. This is a tremendous honor for us. Being asked to photograph another photographer made our month.
We’ve met this beautiful couple a handful of times at our local Tuesday Together meet-ups or other vendor events, but we’ve never had the pleasure to have them all to ourselves and get to know them. What we found out is that they have the same love for photography and documenting love stories as we do. Sara and I see a lot of ourselves in them, and I know big things are to come for this couple. We also found out that Katie and Alec should work in the circus on the side. Katie as the ringleader and Alec as the performer. This guy knows everything from magic to tightrope walking. He can do a double backflip!!! LIKE WHAT??? If you spend 5 minutes with these two, I promise you will have fun.
In our blog lately, we’ve been talking about the 3-4 month drought that’s been happing here in Alabama. And honestly, Winter hasn’t even actually started. It’s been a very nice 60° on most days. The days leading to Katie and Alec’s session would you believe is was going to be 38° and chances of rain!!!! WHAT? Luckily the rain chances dwindled down but, the temperature forecast stayed the same. Katie told us that she wasn’t scared of a little cold weather, so we proceeded with the shoot. Not only was this shoot for another set a photographer, so we knew we had to over deliver, it was our last session for the year! So we really wanted to crush it. Katie, with Hothands in tow and Alec with a nice warm suit, geared up for the coldest day of the year and we headed to our favorite spot in downtown Birmingham. I don’t know any other way to say it, but they did amazing!!! We’re ending this year on a high note. These photos are some of our favorites… EVER!
I hope you guys enjoyed it just as much as we did. We’re here anytime you need advice, new headshots, or just want to grab some coffee. Thank Y’all so so much. Sara and I wish you guys the success in 2017.
