Y’all! This month has absolutely flown by at the speed of light! Our crazy little boy is learning & growing at the same speed. We enjoyed some off time this month as it’s technically an “off season” month for us this year. We had the pleasure of shooting 4 weekends of the total 5 last year; however, we are totally fine with having a couple weekends to ourselves & our sweet family! We got to do a few pretty fun things & got out with the camera a little bit too!! We hope you enjoy this month’s review!!!
1. We attended an MMA fight here in BIRMINGHAM! It was super fun & we had a little too much fun!
2. We celebrated JULY 4! We pulled out the family size blow up pool & enjoyed some delicious BBQ at our neighbor’s house! Jax still isn’t too fond of the water; however, we loved watching his friends Joe & Lula play!
3. Sweet Lula – Our next door neighbors turned besties’ daughter – TURNED 1! We celebrated along side her & her family out in the beautiful sunshine! Jax had his first off road vehicle ride & is now obsessed with all things motorized!
4. We attended Pursell Farms open house for their gorgeous venue at Hamilton Place! We had a blast testing the cocktails making sure they were up to par & making sure the food was good… it was all so so so amazing!
5. Momma Clover / Gammie / Sara’s Mom turned XX – you never share a lady’s age – 🙂 I love my sweet Momma and was so happy I got to celebrate the day even if she is a little more reluctant as the years go by!
6. Momma Lucas / Mimmie / Alex’s Mom turned XX – same reason – 🙂 We had a blast with Alex’s family grabbing some Mexican food & enjoying a little too much salsa and quesadillas!
7. Our very own Katie McKown turned XX – once again … – Oh my gosh our sweet friend we love her so!!! We also grabbed some tasty queso and dillas for her birthday & ended the dinner with a cookie cake … of which Jax ate an entire slide to himself! This kid LOVES cookies! & Katie… he was crying & we were about to leave early & then Katie insisted she holds him (YAY for sweet God Parents!) He hushed & just sat there as happy as could be!
8. My sweet Brother turned 21 … or something like that?! HAHA He likes to work work work work work & so I didn’t get to celebrate him; however, I was cheering him on from my computer screen and wishing we could have spent the day together … if you’re single … he’s still available 🙂
9. We welcomed some very sweet new brides to our ALW family & we can’t wait for their weddings this year & next year! We are 4 more than we were a month ago & we couldn’t be more excited to have such support & love!
10. We had the blessing of shooting 1 sweeter than cupcakes wedding & we are still sending all the congrats to Kelsey & Michael!
11. We walked along the field of Bryant Denny Stadium while shooting a gorgeous bride to be and her groom! Emerald & Matt are a match made in Heaven & their blog is a must see! I mean when you can get us into the stadium & breathe in the football champs breeze …. we were smiling from ear to ear the entire time!
12. We did a shoot with Alabama Weddings Magazine & had an absolute blast! It was amazing to work with some new creatives we haven’t had a chance of meeting yet! Per usual we never meet a stranger & these people were some new faces we want to see way sooner than later! The shoot went great & we can’t wait for everyone to see in their upcoming issue next year! No pictures of this; however, we will be shouting from the rooftops when the magazine is released!
NEXT MONTH: We have a couple weddings & a couple more engagement sessions 🙂 We are traveling to Portland & we are pretty sure there will be some other last minute funs added to the list! Can’t wait to share! Thank you so much for reading!

If you’re traveling to Portland Oregon you should hook up with my daughter Casey Lucas Broday.Y’all did an amazing job photographing her wedding last August. They could definitely point you in the direction of all the cool things to do see and most importantly eat 🙂 !
