I remember first meeting Lindsey + Keifer about 6 months ago. Lindsey was all smiles and you could tell she couldn’t be happier to be planning her wedding. She was just so giddy. I loved it. That makes me so excited then we meet couples who are so happy to plan their wedding. I also remember Keifer just being a cool dude.Ready for whatever Lindsey had planned. That’s the only way I know how to describe it. He is just cool. That reminded us a lot of ourselves. So Sara and I just really connected with them.
With October being ( in my opinion ) the best month for photos because the leaves are changing, the weather is nice and of course, all the flannel! We had to plan something outside with lots of trees and greenery. So we planned Oak Mountain State Park for their engagement session. I love this place! It’s beautiful there and so many locations to use. It’s so funny to watch all of our couples and see how they interact when we’re “testing the light” AKA photographing them without them knowing. Normally you get great expressions. These two were like that all day. They could care less that there are 2 photographers snapping away. They were in their own world, just having fun. When our couples let loose and have fun, we have fun too! I hated to end the session because it was a blast. Thankfully we’ll be seeing them again in April (our second favorite month) at The Barn at Shady Lane in Hoover, Alabama. I can’t wait to be back there.
