We’ve said it once; we’ll say it again.. weddings on family land are always the best! Not only are they beautiful, but everyone is more relaxed overall and able to enjoy the day in their comfortable space. Meghan and Aaron tied the knot at Meghan’s family home in Collinsville, AL. The ceremony was held in the front yard just after the sun fell behind the trees. The reception was held in the backyard next to the pool house.
Meghan and Aaron are a precious couple in every way. Their smiles and laughter are contagious, and you can see the love they have for each other all over their faces. You couldn’t help but be excited that THIS was the day they would finally become husband and wife!
At the reception, Meghan’s father gave a speech to the couple. He said he stayed up late the night before trying to think of what advice he could give such a solid couple with their lives already on the right track. Then he said he started thinking about both sides of their family and the years of marriage represented there. He and his wife represented 25 years alone. Then he called out to Aaron’s parents and both sets of grandparents asking how many years each had been married… 30 years, 55 years, 47 years, 50 years, 53 years. Then he asked, “Do you know how rare that is?” Then he reiterated, “All of your parents and grandparents on both sides of the family. That’s a lot of years.” Such a true statement. If that doesn’t bring tears to your eyes, then just watch their first look! What remarkable examples of love and devotion this sweet couple have in their lives. His advice to them was this. No matter what they do or where life takes them, do things TOGETHER! Which is advice that we live by. Hints, being in business together =)
Such an awesome family to spend the day with! So encouraged by them and everyone who came to celebrate! Best wishes to you Meghan and Aaron!
