Reflecting on 100 blogs

Not too long ago I posted our 100th blog. A small accomplishment in my book. I actually remember writing that first blog. How painful it was to sit down and force myself to write something. That blog was probably the first thing that I’ve written since college. Those of you who blog know what I’m talking about! Looking back at that blog makes me want to delete it =) I’ve actually thought about it plenty of times. Half the images don’t load anymore and there are plenty of typos that I could fix. But the thing I keep telling myself every time is, this is where you started. Now, by no means do I think I’m a good blogger after 100 blogs but I defiantly feel better about how I blog now vs how I blogged then.

It’s actually kind of cool to have one spot of the internet all to myself. A spot that I will always have and will always keep evolving. I think creatives can always find something they aren’t doing right. Or find something that they want to change and do better. It’s a constant battle. It’s very rare for you to be able to look back and actually think, I remember writing this first blog and comparing it to the seasoned writers out there. But now I think I’m way better than I was! Sometimes that’s the only push you need to get yourself out of a creative funk.

Ok, so you guys know I’m all about making goals for myself and putting them on the internet so I have them written in stone if I don’t follow through. It took me 3 years to do 100 blogs. My goal is to do at least one a week from now on. I can always make an excuse of why I don’t have time or I don’t have anything to write about. But I know it’s not true. So I’m asking you guys to hold me accountable. I’m going to have more content coming soon. Hopefully not just client related. I want to write more about photography and small business education. I also feel a need to blog more personal stuff. Again, I just always find a reason of why I can’t do it.
