WOWZA! What a week & what a wedding to share with you guys today! It’s honestly funny to me that some of our very best memories happen to fall on or around St. Patty’s Day. Years ago Alex & I would always make plans with friends that included putting on some green and pretending to have a little Irish heritage. We don’t find much time anymore to put that kind of time into weekend plans – we are such boring people nowadays haha – BUT oh my goodness did Jordan & Stewart’s wedding bring back all the good St. Patrick’s Day memories combining our most favorite hobby / career – Being wedding photographers. WHAT A DREAM!
We met Jordan & Stewart of course at our consult together but really began to get to know them a little better at their engagement session at Railroad Park where Stewart dropped to one knee & with the help of his sweet little girl Maddie he asked Jordan to marry him & say yes to forever. I mean truly how absolutely precious are they? On their wedding day we just melted over all the little details they thought about and even their gifts were so thoughtful that I felt like I was just one big pot of melted cheese – melted choice number one.
Stewart & Jordan are both designers. This is something that you must know about them and is literally engrained into their being. Thank goodness that they are pretty darn good at it. Together they literally designed every little bit of their wedding. From the invitation suite to the signs to the CHALKBOARD behind the bar. You name it. They had their hands in dreaming it up, drawing it and making it come true.
Stewart drew Jordan 3 drawings of the most important places to them in their lives right now. 1. Railroad Park where they got engaged, 2. Third Presbyterian where they got married, & 3. Regions Field where Stewart has some heartstrings attached to baseball and they both celebrated with friends & family all night! We were literally taken back by Stewart’s ability to draw these things so perfectly and we know that Jordan could not only absolutely love the pictures but truly appreciate the art love for such a gift.
These two of course had a fabulous cake and area that wowed guests as they entered the reception; however, they also wanted to include Stewart’s daughter in on a lot of the little treasures of a joining family. They made sure they had a little kids space and Maddie got to help cut that cake and have a little fun on this wedding day! Lastly, Stewart had a little dessert bar filled with so many tasty sweets & “slices of heaven”.
On the table was a lovely story incorporating that awesome Mustang that actually belonged to Stewart’s Dad who unfortunately passed away. From our understanding, Stewart & his dad had an extremely good relationship. From attending baseball games together to fixing up cars in some spare time. I could tell the neverending love Stewart had for his dad was truly tangible and I couldn’t help but think how incredibly blessed he is for such an amazing man to have in his life. He wanted to incorporate him into the day somehow since he couldn’t be there and so they added the story of the Mustang to the dessert table as well as getting the Mustang up and running so it could also be there on the big day. There is a photo of the little story and let me tell you its a must read in this blog!
We were just blown away by the amount of love these two have for their families and friends and we are sure proud to have been a part of such an amazing day. I couldn’t have thought of a better way to spend St. Patrick’s Day then surrounded by green beer, beautiful decor, a sweet sweet couple & plenty of people that know just how to have a good time! Congrats you two & hope you are still having the time of your lives in Jamaica!
