Serenity & Blush Barn at Dogwood Farms Wedding

It’s #WeddingWednesday and man-oh-man do we have a good one for you today. You know those couples that just look so happy together? The ones that make others take notice and just downright look so wonderful together … Kayla + Nick are the perfect display of love and friendship. Their marriage is one that will last a lifetime and possibly will be that cute old couple still dating and being silly with one another. They definitely have a marriage that is easy to envy for and they are just downright a breeze to photograph.

We met Kayla + Nick earlier this year at a consult but it wasn’t until their engagement session that you could see the connection between them both. Nick is a goofball, if he isn’t laughing he is most likely whispering a funny line into Kayla’s ear or just licking her nose … it’s basically his secret talent. Which is not much of a secret anymore! He’s such a good guy and under all that goofiness is a heart that was stolen by Kayla since day one.

It’s no secret that they way to my heart on a wedding day is details. I can’t help but obsess over all the small little things that need to get noticed! Well, this is why Kayla and I were on the same page … Peonies (in frickin’ DECEMBER) and a gorgeous invitation suite. Oh, that invitation suite is the product of amazingness by yours truly … Kayla designed them! Little did I know she has been published on many outlets before our little photography blog, but she is definitely talking my language. Two creative things alike!

This was a wedding I had anticipated for a long time and was sad to see it fly by, but we are so happy for these two and the journey they are now on in the BIG state of Texas. I know this time next year we will be listening what the past year has brought them while taking some adorable photos in the good ole city of Houston. Until then … We will see our new besties soon!
