I’ve been good friends with Emily for a long time. We’ve know each other since high school and have stayed good friends since then. When we she asked if we would do her wedding, I was very excited. I always get excited when my friends like my work enough to book me and not just because we’re friends. Before the consultation I had never met James. Which when we did meet I knew he was a cool guy because he was an Alabama Football fan! =)
There’s nothing like seeing a couple get married! But especially when you are friends, it just touches you so much more. Which is saying something since Sara and I get “choked up” at almost every wedding. I know we’re a little weird. We shoot all these weddings and still get caught up in the moment almost as much as the couples do.
Their special day was filled with laughter, love and lots of fun. This is something we tell our couples before their wedding. Don’t get all caught up in all the stress and worry. Live in the moment because your wedding day will fly by and you won’t remember the details. This is one of the reasons having a good wedding photographer is SO important. They really took this to heart and trusted me.
The reception was a blast! They chose to have our photo booth. This thing was packed the whole reception. There was some great homemade chili, fun dancing, and lots of friends!
I’m so happy to share these with you all.
Enjoy,
-Alex

Beautiful wedding and reception. I enjoyed myself very much. The reception was quaint and warm. I think that Alex and Sara of Al Weddings did a fantastic job. Their photography is impecable. They caught images I can’t imagine possible because you really did not even know they were around. I assumed they were quests like the rest of us. Emily looked like a porcelean doll, and James so handsome.
Thank you so much Dawn for the kind words!
