Welcome back, everyone! Sorry for the few week hiatus from the Podcast. We agreed when we started this that we would make sure it never was a negative aspect of our work week. It should be fun but we should also do what we can to make sure to remain consistent. So, we are sorry haha but life has been busy, busy lately so here we are updating you on all the goodness.
We are having a GIRL!
That’s right, Sara is pregnant (17, almost 18 weeks this week!) and we also found out that “it” is a “she”. There was a hunch of just a lucky guess that it was a little girl this time around and wouldn’t it be known that we were right! Jax was less than impressed when we all found out. The typical crying episode ensued because he really was wanting a little brother but now after over a month of knowing what we are going to be welcoming come to the end of November he is much happier! Taking on that big brother role of feeling like he is too cool to be a brother. He is thrilled to have a sister on the way and we are thrilled he came around. We went through all of Jax’s old clothes and wow … it really brought back the memories! Jax and Sara sat there selecting outfits that were “girl-friendly” which really wasn’t as much as we thought. It’s okay though! We are thrilled to make this 2nd child feel just as cherished and celebrated as the 1st. Now, we are just waiting for November 26th (Thanksgiving Day) to see if she is going to stay a bit longer or if she is going to be interested in entering the world on time or early. Only time will tell! 17 weddings left until she is here – we might be only the people who count down via weddings then weeks, days, or any other countdown choice!
We canceled our Italy Trip
BUMMER! I KNOW. It’s been hard to swallow. To watch the days progress with little to no hope that we would be able to take the vacation we have spent over a year planning. The last straw of hope was Jax’s passport – or lack thereof. With the offices closing down we realized we wouldn’t receive one in time for him to attend with us. It’s okay though! We have found a really great back up plan and our dreams of exploring the country of Italy will just have to wait. We are thinking a few years at a minimum. So instead of the Italian coast we will be exploring a different and new coast to us – The US Virgin Islands; St Thomas. As many places that we have traveled this hasn’t ever come up. However, with the ability to travel because it’s open haha and the fact no passport is required AND the simple fact that Hawaii would have been great but the 14 day quarantine made that dream not possible. We are thrilled! We have rented a 5 bedroom house just minutes from the beach and the view is to die for! There will be a whopping 10 of us getting together. Family is very important to us and it’s been a while since the entire family has been able to take a trip together. We can’t wait to finally be relaxing and seeing some new places come August!
We visited the Gulf Beaches
Running proof that we can’t stay home too long. We love traveling and even with kids it’s very important to us to dedicate time to ourselves to recharge. It seems so silly but in the business of being creative – you NEED that time! It’s so important to get away from it all and as much as we love and are thrilled to do what we do … we need breathers! Now, we DID think we would need this for other reasons AKA the 14 weddings that we would have shot up to this point buuuut it’s totally ok! The stress of being in jail so to speak was a stressor we didn’t think we would ever have to experience. However, we still took the trip and chose to have fun despite all the things happening around us in this world. It was good for our souls and now we just have to make it a couple more months to toe deep in the sand one more time!
