YOU GUYS! It was a little bit of an insanely busy weekend for us; however, we are surviving and I think we are way better off! I am so so SO happy to share this precious Vietnamese & Christian infused wedding with you! Christina & Dan are some of the kindest people we have met and it makes us a little sad they live so far away; however, we will definitely be thinking of every reason in the book to visit them in Washington D.C for an anniversary session soon. We met them over the phone back in the Winter and Dan had explained to us their sweet dreams and wants for their wedding day. We knew they were one of a kind when we found out he and his family are from Australia – SO COOL – & that they just so happened to meet through family members. WAM BAM BOOM – Here they are more in love than ever & so excited to do life together!
Of course no wedding goes off without one or two hiccups; however, I think us along with every guest, family member, venue person were keeping our fingers are toes crossed for no rain. Although we barely scraped by it managed to not actually rain until later in the evening right before the Firework exit – ALSO, SO COOL!
It was so wonderful to be a part of such a special and unique day! This was a first to us and it was a pleasure to watch how the day unfolds within a different culture. We love that Christina stuck to the roots of her family, but also showed the other big side of her which is a big white wedding dress! She looked beautiful and the horse & carriage was just what this lady needed to top off her fairytale wedding day! This day had just about everything … From 4 Lion Dances to a married ice sculpture & even the debut of a watermelon sculpture of a Kangaroo (Australia, DUH!) & a magnolia flower (Joanna Gaines would be proud) We can’t think of one thing that was missed. It was a wonderful day and an even better experience! We couldn’t think of a better way end a packed wedding weekend!
