You may remember Alexis + Brook. We photographed them earlier this year for their engagement session. I remember leaving that session and thinking. Does an engagement session get better than that? Everything from their killer outfits to their straight up model looks. Well, what I have for you today, In my opinion, tops their engagement session. Alexis + Brook came back into town and decide to do a “day after session” If you’re not familiar with day afters – it’s basically where you dress up in your wedding day attire and just take couples photos. If you’re a photo junkie like these two, a day after session is the best way to have a ton of photos of you in your wedding day attire. So they dressed to the 9’s, and we headed to Downtown Birmingham, Alabama for their session. If you’ve followed our blog for any period of time, you know that The Donnelley House is one of our favorite local venues. Carl, or CORAL!!! as we like to call him (Any walking dead fans out there), is one of the best guys out there. He’s always so nice to us, and he let us shoot around the venue.
I had just gotten over the flu the day before and as we were driving, I was wondering if I should have rescheduled the shoot just because I wasn’t feeling 100%. But Man-O-Man, when we got there and I saw how amazing these two looked and how beautiful of a day it was, I felt 110%. It’s hard not to feel amazing when you have clients like this.
