This wedding is one for the books y’all! It was so much fun to be out at Creekside Meadows in Morris, AL for a gorgeous wedding! We have photographed plenty of weddings that had some wedding day rainfall. There was even one last year that lost power but I think this is the first time we have faced with a serious storm coming & of course not knowing exactly how bad that would be. It’s Alabama so it could be something or could be nothing. With storms on the horizon, we had to come up with a fail-safe plan. A plan that not even Alabama could mess up. So, for the first time ever we arrived on a wedding day with a checklist of “what-ifs” to see if our plan is something we could present to the bride.
We knew we didn’t want to say or try to do something that wouldn’t be possible and would leave everyone a little sad that it wasn’t. However, as fate would have it … we arrived and hair and makeup was just about complete. The guys were … Ready! GASP. So, unlike any wedding day, we asked Karen “Can we move some items around and go ahead and get you started with photos?”. Then from there, we moved into our normal routine to miss any possible downpour that could rain on our parade. Wouldn’t you know it we even got some sunshine and most importantly avoided the inevitable.
Creekside Meadows was wonderfully equipped for the day as well and it is perfectly placed on this Earth that the sunshine is shining in all the right directions we need for photos. Photographer’s dream y’all! On top of that, they were just so great to work with and we loved being there for the very first time!!
Karen & Joe were just about the perfect people to handle such a day giving each other the utmost support and continually giving love and not letting a single thing get them down. We don’t think we have quite seen two people so calm and relaxed. By the end of the day, we had completely fallen in love with these two. They are such pure souls and illuminate kindness and love. Not just them either – their entire wedding party was just full of joy and ready to love on those around them. We couldn’t be happier that we spent the day avoiding rain, celebrating the sweetest couple on the planet. It was truly a blessing! A day we will forever remember! Congratulations you two!
