Summer is upon us and just like that it seems the wedding vendor family gets whoosed back into a Fall wedding season which for us starts a little earlier this year and we couldn’t be more excited for all the couples about to tie the knot! Today we are showing off our sweet friend Brooke and her mom Debbie. Of course, they have a few more helping hands but isn’t a mother daughter duo the SWEETEST! Why did you become a wedding planner?
I honestly loved planning my own wedding! I love all the details of making a bride’s dream day become a reality. After my own wedding day came and went, I thought to myself, “I HAVE to do that again!” Knowing that I obviously didn’t want to do that again for myself (haha… I’ll keep my man for life!) I knew I wanted to help others days go off smoothly and magically!
What is your favorite wedding style?
Honestly, I love mixing it up here and there but I would say I lean toward the garden-inspired wedding look. I think Boho comes in close second.
What are typically your favorite photos from a wedding day?
Well, my company BKWed also provides floral design so we are of course partial to any photos that highlight the flowers! I also love the pictures of the bride seeing her bouquet for the first time!
What is your picture-perfect evening?
I am a wife and mom of three so I love being with my sweet family but nothing beats a date night with my honey!
What is the number one tip for a bride when picking her wedding photographer?
I always say “Think about the future! Do you think you will like the style of that photographers photos 15 years from now?”
What is your best wedding day advice to give a bride?
Hands down, have a day- of coordinator! A day-of coordinator eases the minds of not only (and most-importantly the bride and her family), but also every vendor and service provider involved in the wedding! It will be your best money spent! The day will be smoother and more enjoyable with a capable experienced coordinater and you will never regret that decision!
