Becky Baker who is the owner Becky’s Brides, a Birmingham based Wedding Planner Company. They do incredible work year in and year out and most importantly care for their brides like no other. Why did you become a wedding planner?
After spending a short amount of time in corporate event planning, girls started to ask me about helping them plan their weddings. After the first one, I was hooked! 2 years later I officially launched Becky’s Brides and it was by far the biggest risk I ever took but has paid off in spades! I LOVE working with brides on planning the biggest day of their lives so far!
What is your favorite wedding style?
Classic because it’s always on trend.
What are typically your favorite photos from a wedding day?
I love the photos of the bride and groom walking back up the aisle after they just got married! They are SO happy and the looks on their faces are always ones of pure joy! It’s one of my favorite parts of the whole day!
What is your picture-perfect evening?
I’m a new mom to a 6 month old baby girl, so I love walks with her in the stroller, playing with her new toys and just hanging at the house with her and my sweet husband! It’s so fun to see the world through a baby’s eyes!
What is the number one tip for a bride when picking her wedding photographer?
In addition to loving their photos, make sure you are comfortable with their personalities. No one clicks with EVERYONE and it’s important that you feel comfortable with your photographer(s), so that you’ll be relaxed throughout the wedding day!
What is your #1 wedding day tip?
Once your wedding weekend comes, just let all of your stress and anxiousness go. You are about to marry the love of your life! You’re going to celebrate your marriage with all of your friends and family! All of your vendors will take care of everything else. It goes by so fast, and all that matters is that you marry your soulmate and enjoy every minute of celebrating your new lives together!
What is your best wedding day advice to give a bride?
Hire professional wedding vendors in every category. I know it can be an investment, but this is the biggest day of your life so you don’t want to leave that to people that don’t have the experience to give you the wedding day experience you deserve!
