We can’t believe Summer is coming to close in about a month. It’s been an incredible season and we are so thankful for the travels and fun that was had. One of the biggest highlights of our entire Summer was attending The Creative at Heart Conference as panel leaders. We had the most amazing group of ladies to talk with for a few days over lunch and it felt so great to help others. Thank you to Bethanne Arthur for the wonderful images of the conference!
Why you should attend The Creative at Heart Conference
When Kat gets up at the beginning and end of every conference to share her gratitude of the time that was spent and the people that come together to make this conference happen just gives us gooseys all over. We too feel that vision she has for the people in front of her. We have been in business for over 6 years now and it seems pretty unreal that we made it! It was not an easy journey and it wasn’t one welcomed by some of the people in our community. That was a painful thought.
Why are there people out there who do not want someone else to succeed? It seems so wrong to me. Not everything should just be handed over on a silver platter either but I can’t imagine why we can’t come together as creatives – same field of business or not – and give each other support. Kat has done something very remarkable with the help of those who surround and support her. She has effectively created a conference that you can walk into and feel at home. You feel surrounded by love and by people who WANT you to succeed. That my friends is a magical thing!
Creative at Heart encourages SUCCESS
Educators and Attendees are able to correspond with each other and it’s small enough that you aren’t another fly on the wall. The first evening together you feel scared and worried that … friends … oh gosh friends. Why did I PAY MONEY to come somewhere without … “Oh hi! My name is (the rest is history)”. You find lifelong friends here and when you walked in you anticipated the next few days would be lonely. They aren’t! This conference is basically everything I want or need in my life every year and fills my heart with so much hope!
The conference will feel like home. Seriously, give it a chance!
There will always be a home for you! Your home that is filled with people who want you to succeed and will encourage you to make that next big jump! Creative at Heart has made what we wanted in our hearts a reality and I don’t think there is truly a price on that feeling. We love our community in Birmingham but it’s not as fulfilling as the few days we spend at this conference.
