It’s been quite the Spring wedding season and with all the moving and everything, I think we lost ourselves a little bit. Starting back in a true loving fashion we want to share one of great friends Chelsea! Chelsea is a wedding planner with a team of amazing girls making up her company Chelsea Kennedy Events and she is serving all of Alabama but mostly sticking to Muscle Shoals & Huntsville a good bit! She is the true picture of what being kind and Southern is and it’s one of the many reasons we are truly obsessed with being around her. She just makes you feel happier and relaxed! She is an amazing wedding planner with a good heart behind why she chooses to embark on the crazy wedding vendor life!

Years in Business:
I started my business as a side job in 2012, and because a full time business in 2016! 7 years total!
Why did you become a wedding planner?
I am naturally a very organized person, and I have always loved the wedding industry. I started off helping friends plan their weddings and coordinate the day of, and I fell in love! I continued getting more experience, training, and my certification. When I was a bride, I really didn’t have any help planning my wedding, and I will always remember how stressed out I felt. I realized there was a gap in the market in my area, so I decided to fill it. I want to allow brides to relax, be present, and truly enjoy the wedding experience.
What is your favorite wedding style?
I honestly just enjoy executing the bride’s personal style! Each wedding is so unique and different because each bride envisions her day differently. I am careful to make sure the bride’s style transfers. That is such a fun part of my job!
What are typically your favorite photos from a wedding day?
I love detail photos and romantic portraits of the bride and groom.
What is your picture-perfect evening?
I love spending time with my husband and three year old son. I really don’t enjoy cooking, so eating out is always a treat. Then, I love getting into my pajamas and watching a movie at home! I am pretty low key!
What is the number one tip for a bride when picking her wedding photographer?
Photography is not just about nice photos. It’s about the experience a photographer can provide. You will always remember how you felt taking the photos! Choose a photographer that you feel comfortable with and fits your personality and style. Photography is an investment- not an area in the budget where you can cut corners! (That’s two tips… Sorry! Both are so important!)
What is your best wedding day advice to give a bride?
Don’t try to do too much!!! Hire professionals and pay the service fees so you can hand over the majority of your responsibilities. It’s worth every penny. You deserve to actually be a bride on your wedding day. It’s one of the happiest days of your life, and you need to soak in every minute and be present with your family and friends.
