Navy & Blush Inspired Rainy Day Wedding

Hi Friends!

We were so excited to finally start back our year this past Saturday, and we could not think of a better couple to jump off the season with! This was the weekend of winter storms and thankfully little ole Birmingham just got some chilly sprinkles. We didn’t let it get us down and neither did our gorgeous couple. We worked with Ashlee & Matt last year at their engagement session and learned so much. We “heard” that Matt had some amazing vocals and a quite big background in music; however, we waaaay underestimated his ability.

He got up on stage at the reception and sang “Tennessee Whiskey” to his sweet bride (& Wife!). OH MY GOSH! He blew me away. All day. Ashlee was such a gorgeous bride I know it’s hard not to show your excitement, but I’m not sure I have seen a man who loves his lady quite like him. As he was up on the stage singing his heart out we were a little choked up ourselves. You could tell and feel it throughout the room. He is head over heals in love with this girl. THANK GOODNESS THEY GOT MARRIED! They are a match made in heaven. Truly. They know how to laugh together even on a day they thought would be filled with sunshine. They laughed. Throughout the entire day … laughter. With friends, with family, and with each other. I heard from an old man on television “For every minute of laughter you gain a day of life”. Well at this rate these two are going to be around forever.

We fell in love with everything about the day. Their love mostly. However, Ashlee’s grandmother can really get down on the dance floor! She wins every dance award! Even if there wasn’t a dance floor she was moving … I saw her dancing back by Happy Catering’s food (don’t we all?!). She didn’t care that there wasn’t a spotlight, but she loves to dance. We certainly loved watching! Then towards the end of the dance-filled reception was the bridesmaids and groomsmen dance off. I think we can decide who probably won!! Those ladies killed it! Not to mention that not 1, but TWO of them are pregnant! Ahhh, I could go all day about these two. However, when it comes down to it. We are not only thrilled but honored to have been part of such an amazing couple. I hated to see the night come to an end because we just had too much fun! I know Ashlee & Matt are currently soaking up the sun in Mexico, and we are currently wishing we were right there with them!!
