So those of you who know Sara, know that she’s not a typical woman when it comes to sharing her age. She’s never cared. Not that anyone our age should be ashamed to say their age. We’re in our prime – we’re still young! So today marks your 27th Birthday or to quote you “the 6th anniversary of your 21st birthday!” Which I think is a perfect description of what this birthday is. Another way to say it would be, our 10th birthday celebration as a couple. It’s crazy to think back at each of those birthdays, each of those years and reflect on where we were at those times.
I’ll be honest is saying, I can’t remember most of them specifically, but I remember those times fondly. Each year becomes increasingly more exciting and adventurous. One of your first birthdays was spend spending all of your hard earned money on deposits and first and last months rent in our new rental house right after high school. Which btw, I think I still owe you like $800 =) Thinking back on those years, then skipping forward nine years and seeing how much you’ve grown and become more of the woman of my dreams than I could’ve ever expected, it just amazing!!! As you (and most of our blog readers) know, this past year was the most monumental year in our life. Your last Birthday I’m sure was spent with us sitting in bed looking at our 1-month-old. Let me just say, you are one heck of a Mom and a way better parent than me! I have no idea where we’d be without you! Jaxon and I are both very lucky to have you in our life.
Another huge event that happened this year and that was you leaving your full-time job to join me with AL Weddings. A pretty big leap at the time.. Even though it was only a few months ago. You left your job without looking back. Only hoping to join in on the mid day shenanigans with Jax and me, watching Ellen while Jax sleeps, and being able to grocery shop at noon on a Tuesday. More than that it has given all of us more time to spend together. YES, some times that’s not a good thing but 99% of the time, I think we can both agree, that it’s been a dream come true to run our business together and be able to spend precious time with our little man.
I think this Birthday has a perfect theme for this blog. We are going on yet another adventure to a new place. Today we are in Portland, Oregon photographing your best friends wedding. Another place off the list! I know there will be many more adventures, hand in hand in hand (aka the three of us) We have a few of those already on the books, and I can’t wait to see what this next year has for us. Maybe things will be a little less exciting and slow down a bit…. Nah full speed ahead! Here’s to you, babe!!!

Always a beautiful love story in Every blog. Which,I finally got to read while Jaxon was napping. Talk about full speed ahead. He’s gonna be a runner.. who runs to music and dance at the finish line. Ha
