Happy Wedding Wednesday Y’all! We have been enjoying our week so far with working through the weddings we had this weekend and first up is precious Kaleigh & Jordan. Everything about this day was gorgeous and so many helping hands to make it all come together flawlessly. One of our favorite parts? The flowers! Kaleigh’s mom Gloria spent so much time making sure they were gorgeous and she did a wonderful job! Southern Dreams Floral & Events is her company and we were just so in love with the design! We had an amazing day with them on Saturday and it just goes to show that the people that are placed in your life are so perfect. It’s been a lovely journey getting to know these two from their engagement session at Avondale Park in Birmingham or spending some quality time together at the Church of the Highlands Marriage Conference back in February we have had our fair share of get-togethers with these two and it has only made us even closer.
Kaleigh is certainly one of the longest awaited weddings this year. She was actually IN a wedding back in 2016 (pre-baby Jax! What is that life!?) as a bridesmaid and a fellow cousin of the groom. It’s only been a couple years but she has accomplished so much! Our story rebegan back when I was still working as a nurse on the orthopedic floor. Turns out Kaleigh’s nursing group came to my floor for clinical and wouldn’t you know it – I ADORED teaching nursing students and loved catching up and talking with her that day about everything! I’ll never forget, “OH my gosh … are you, Sara? A wedding photographer? You shot my cousin’s wedding!” BOOM the rest is history y’all!
From then to now is almost unbelievable and it certainly makes us even more grateful for the work we have been chosen to do. We didn’t plan this career and honestly, it was just placed in front of us as if there were better plans than the ones we had thought. It’s so much than a job and I can never stop saying that. It provides all the amazing things a job does but it certainly doesn’t feel like work and that’s even more so true when you create relationships like the one we have made with Kaleigh & Jordan.
It’s been a long time since the Christmas party Jordan proposed at but I know this Christmas will be extra special as a married couple. We are so happy for you both and we can’t wait to get all the pictures to you but for now here is a highlight of the amazing day we spent! Wish the couple well in the comment section below <3
