It’s not everyday I get to sit down and write a blog about the person I know best. ME. I say that, but truth is Alex actually came up with a really good one that I am not sure I would have realized. So sweet right?! He really does pay attention!
OKAY SO HERE IT GOES!
1. I lived in Wisconsin!
Thats right! For a handful of years in my life I lived in a place that snowed on a regular basis. Living here has shaped me to be the person I am today. The person incapable of completing the Whole30 diet because of CHEESE. I am pretty fluent in types and shapes of cheeses. So if you ever need a cheese/queso buddy … I’m your gal!
2. I am obsessed with my blanket!
This is an embarrassing one, but the first step is admitting you have a problem. MAN OH MAN I do! It actually started as a wee little child, but after my brothers ditched my childhood blanket in my younger years I never needed one. Apparently the habit is back. Whether I’m on the couch working, sleeping (anywhere!), or just being snuggly … I need it. Thankfully I don’t go full crazy without it, but it definitely keeps me warm and thats pretty awesome!
3. I just nixed Soda from my life!
As you read previously I couldn’t complete the Whole30 to save my life, but one good thing did come from it! I quit my horrible habit of drinking soda! It is something I wasn’t even able to do while pregnant and I have known is a terrible habit. I am so happy and am embracing La Croix with a happy and healthy heart!
4. I GOT BIT BY A SHARK! o.o
You heard me! A real live totally vicious … cat. Okay. Unlike Alex I lived a pretty cautious childhood but I have been bit by multiple cats. Like once on the leg, hand, finger, through my nail, etc. It’s crazy though! One was actually named Shark. Well he looked like a great white … cat. I just wanted this to sound cooler than what it was hahah. I still love cats and Pye would never harm me in such a way.
5. I am terrible at dating!
Thank goodness I snagged me a good one early on. Alex and I started dating Feb. 5, 2009. Oh yea, right before our very first Valentine’s Day. I was never crazy about this holiday. It was always silly to me! However, much respect to everyone who loves it! I wish I did … I really do! Anyways, I asked Alex “Do you want me to get you something for Valentine’s?” His exact words “No, it’s fine”. First problem, I shouldn’t have just straight asked him and second I actually listened. I didn’t get him single petal or shed of thought. He bought me a new CD (old school right?!) some chocolate and flowers! Since this day we have the “but for real are we sharing gifts?” I just am terrible at picking up on cues! Once again… thanks goodness he proposed and I caught him early.
6. I am a certified Sandwich Artist + Cell Phone Expert!
My first real job was Subway. I worked there for so many years and actually really enjoyed it! It wasn’t until I just needed something a little less high school and a little more college that I decided to make the switch from Sandwich artist to Cell Phone sales rep! Either way I can make you any sandwich on the menu and know the exact recipes to each one. We are talking meet, cheese and veggie counts! At the same time I can also give you a pretty awesome detailed recommendation of what cell phone you should buy next … iPhone 7.
7. I love to Travel!
Whenever we can get out of the state we surely do! Even since Jax arrived we do our very best to explore the world around us and know that Alabama isn’t the end all be all. I have been to Mexico, Canada and Jamaica (twice!). Along with those are multiple states and I hope to only continue to further expand my passport. So chances are if you have something that sounds fun you can bet that we will love to tag along!
8. I have had the same BFF for almost 19 years!
This is something that is so near and dear to me! If you here me speak of the infamous “Lo Lo” then this is the special person I am speaking of. We met at an apartment complex at a young age and became quick friends with her entire family. I seriously feel like I have two extra sisters and another mother in this world when I am around them. They now live in Arizona which just gives me a reason to visit as often as I can!
9. Photography changed my life!
I thought I knew everything that was unfolding in my young life! When Alex introduced me to the world of photography I was deep in the world of college and becoming a registered nurse. I was actually extremely torn. I am not a quitter and my momma always taught me to always make something for myself. Therefore, I stayed in school and fought my way to my degree. I am proud to be working and caring for people; however, I do dream of days when I get to leave behind my medical heart for a life surrounded by love and happiness! Maybe 2017 will be my year!
10. I make up words …
And I actually think they are real. This is one of those “mmm maybe you shouldn’t have shared that”. However, I felt it may make you understand me more if I come out and start saying words that don’t sound quite right. I have no idea why I do. I just like to think I have so much confidence in myself that I could just be ole Webster himself. My best one yet that I actually continue to say even after I learned its not real instead of saying “I’m perusing through target” I say “I’m ba-rusing through target” … saying browse like the peruse. I’m hilarious right!?
Thanks so much for enjoying this with me!! You guys are truly awesome!
