Years in Business:
It will be right around 8 years this Fall! So crazy!
Why did you become a wedding planner?
I love serving people. Especially being able to walk through a joyful and exciting process and celebrate such a special milestone in their lives. It is my hope that through our process brides and their family find peace and joy in each facet of planning while cherishing this time together – leaving us passionate problem solvers to handle the logistics, designing and planning.
What is your favorite wedding style?
That is tough! My best answer here would truly be a classic, romantic style infusing timeless design and purposeful details reflecting the bride and groom’s personalities.
What are typically your favorite photos from a wedding day?
I love the anticipation imagery right before the ceremony as well as the bride and groom’s first look. The raw emotion and pure joy – it’s breathtaking and inspiring. I also love the first few images of the bride with her gown on with her flowers. It is the moment where the bride really sees herself for the first time in the mirror in her dress and realizes it is her wedding day. And I would be remiss if I did not mention images of the overall design and florals – those get me super excited to see our completed vision and work as well.
What is your picture-perfect evening?
I would have to say a weekend at our farm very low-key and relaxed by the bonfire or traveling out west perusing the roads of Jackson Hole, crisp air, hair blown and sunset mountain peeks. My husband and I absolutely love traveling out west 🙂
What is the number one tip for a bride when picking her wedding photographer?
Number one tip would have to be for the bride to find a photographer who she feels will tell her story best. From the mood of the photos to the lighting to the subtle details – paying attention to the way the photographer sets the scene and conveys your story is important. Also building a connection with your photographer beforehand is important and gives the bride and groom a comfortable factor that can help soothe nerves on wedding day – so I would say making sure you click well is equally as important as the style.
What is your best wedding day advice to give a bride?
Nothing in life is perfect – same with events. You may have a groomsmen forget his tie or even have major dress complications 30 minutes before the ceremony. But, it is surrounding yourself with an experienced team that when those no-so-perfect moments happen, 9 times out of 10 you do not event know about them and if you do you know you have someone on your side to fix it fast. So with that, my best advice is going into your wedding day trusting your vendors and surrounding yourself with seasoned professionals (especially a planner) that has your back.
